What kind of jobs are available at BRC?

We have more than 24 programs for homeless and at-risk New Yorkers. Many operate around the clock. There are a variety of full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities available at any given time. There are program management, administrative, clinical, social work, maintenance, medical professional, art therapy, food service, and other kinds of jobs at BRC.

What are the benefits at BRC?

Full time employees receive a generous benefits package:

  • Employees can choose from 3 different health/dental plans. Coverage is available for your spouse, domestic partner and dependents.
  • In addition, employees receive a minimum of 3 weeks paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid sick and personal time.
  • To encourage our employees to save for retirement, we offer a 403(b) pension plan with a matching benefit paid by BRC.
  • We also offer tuition assistance and many training opportunities for career development.
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are available so employees can set aside pre-tax dollars for healthcare, transit and childcare.

Will you mail a list of BRC's job postings to me?

No, unfortunately we cannot do that. The jobs we have available are listed here on our website, and we also advertise in newspapers and on other websites.

How often are the job postings updated?

We update our job listing every two weeks.

What do I need to do to apply for a job?

If you are interested in a particular job, you can:

  • E-mail your resume and cover letter to the contact person listed on the job description. Please refrain from sending attachments, because we may not be able to open them. Instead, include your cover letter and resume directly in the e-mail message.


  • Mail your resume to the contact person at the address listed on the job description.

Can I call the contact person first to discuss the position?

We cannot accept phone calls about jobs at BRC. If your resume demonstrates the level of experience and qualifications we are looking for, we will call you to set up an interview.

Can I send in my resume for general consideration?

We give priority to resumes that are sent to us in response to specific job postings. Your best strategy is to send your resume to BRC each time you see a job posting for which you would like to be considered.
