BRC's Annual Client Art Exhibit

Renewal: A path from homelessness to home through art.

We were thrilled to be able to partner with The James Cohan Gallery for Our Annual Art Gallery Exhibit.

On Tuesday, July 23rd, our clients showcased their work for many of our supporters. Attendees learned about BRC's Art Therapy Program and the power of healing through art and self-expression. The artwork showcased was made during art therapy groups at BRC.

We had an excellent turnout, and we look forward to seeing many of you at next year’s event!

About BRC’s Art Therapy Program

Integrated in various BRC programs, BRC’s Art Therapy Program provides clients the opportunity to reduce stress, develop self-awareness and build self-esteem through creativity.

The hands-on process of creating art, allows clients to cultivate a deeper understanding of, and empathy towards, others while gaining insight into problem areas in their lives. Art therapy helps people work through painful emotions and makes meaning of experiences that are difficult to articulate

Rather than create wealth for private developers, could we use the same shelter contract to create housing for low-income people?
