TeamBRC runners will race in support of BRC at the 2021 TCS NYC Marathon on November 7, 2021

Meet the 2021 TCS NYC Marathon TeamBRC Runners!

These TeamBRC members will be running the 26.2 mile TCS NYC Marathon on November 7, 2021 in support of BRC's life-saving programs. Team members hail from around the metro area, and are dedicated to giving hand up to those reclaiming their lives from homelessness, mental illness, and addiction.

To support any of these runners, visit TeamBRC's 2021 TCS NYC Marathon fundraising page. From all of us at BRC, thank you to all our TeamBRC members and those supporting their run!

TeamBRC is a vital part of BRC Champions

TeamBRC is part of our BRC Champions community, dedicated to supporting BRC’s mission and the thousands of New Yorkers the organization serves. BRC Champions plan or participate in various volunteering, fundraising, and awareness building activities benefiting BRC.

Meet 2021's TeamBRC

Running a marathon is a journey that greatly challenges you but ultimately leads to an unmatched feeling of achievement. BRC’s amazing mission of supporting community needs by constantly empowering others is a cause that will offer endless motivation throughout this journey. I am honored to be a member of TeamBRC at the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon and cannot wait for race day!

Support Will's Run

(Will was part of our 2020 TeamBRC Team, and despite the race being canceled, still raised and donated over $2,500 for BRC! We welcome him to run this year in 2021!)

I am delighted to announce that I will be participating in the 2021 New York City Marathon on behalf of the Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC). Bowery Residents' Committee (BRC) is one of New York City's leading nonprofit organizations providing housing and services to individuals reclaiming their lives from homelessness, mental illness, and addiction. Your donation supports housing and treatment services to homeless adults in New York City. Please support me and the BRC, by contributing. Thank you for your support..

Support Girish’s Run

I'm proud to be running on behalf of BRC for their commitment to giving to those in need and providing a second chance to those who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunities. I will be running my very first marathon after recovering from spinal fusion surgery a year ago & I'm grateful to be able to run again. In honor of the homeless in New York City, I will be dedicating every step in the marathon to fighting for a second chance.

Support Emily’s Run

The NYC Marathon is a time of joy and solidarity, and running as part of TeamBRC is my chance to show up for New York City and all New Yorkers. At a time when we are called to support one another more than ever, it is an honor and privilege to raise critical funds for BRC and New Yorkers in need.

Support Nichole’s Run

Running is my therapy and when I feel at my best. I have never run a marathon but I want to be able to run it with a purpose and for those struggling mentally. Living in NY I see the struggle of so many and respect that BRC stands for dignity helping those in need.

Support Zahra’s Run

I would be so proud to run for TeamBRC, an organization that infuses compassion and love into an often overlooked community. I have volunteered with BRC just a few times so far, but am so excited to get more involved - to bring in awareness and tangible funds to BRC would be an honor.

Support Grace’s Run

I am running the NYC Marathon with Team BRC to support, raise awareness, and bring visibility to the 80, 000+ New Yorkers currently homeless in our city. I believe every single New Yorker deserves the right to shelter, food, health, and community, no matter their background and/or past experiences. Homelessness is a solvable issue; I am running to promote compassion, humanity, and justice in our great city.

Support Allan’s Run

It is both an honor and a privilege to join hands with TeamBRC to fulfill my lifelong dream of running the NYC Marathon while giving back to my fellow New Yorkers.

Support Sheri’s Run

My time in New York, especially over this year, has shown me that loving a city also means giving back to the place that has given me so much. As we stick together, we see thousands of people who do not have the tools or help they need to overcome unworldly challenges on the streets of NYC. If we all do a little, if we all are able to raise a small amount, give love and attention to those in need, volunteer our time on whatever scale we can, it will all be worth it to lift even one person up. I joined BRC Leadership Council for its simple and clear mission to give a hand up to the people who need it most in our city. I am running to not only raise funds for our mission but also to use this platform to build awareness for a cause I believe in.

Support Khephren’s Run

After having worked within the non profit community for over twenty years, it is an honor for me to finally be able to give back to an agency that exists to help the community thrive in such a positive way.

Support Soshana’s Run

As a long time supporter of the BRC and its mission, the recent past situation and events in the city have shown just how important and truly needed the BRC and its work is. I am running to advocate and promote awareness for everything that BRC does for this great city and its most vulnerable and often neglected citizens.

Rather than create wealth for private developers, could we use the same shelter contract to create housing for low-income people?
